Depression is serious and real…these stars made it through.

50 Cent just went on a Twitter tirade that kind of scared everyone, making us think he needs some sort of help. But he’s not the only one. Let’s look at some celebrities that had to deal with depression and get better.

Kanye West – When his mother passed and his fiancee cancelled the wedding, Yeezy went into a full on depression, even acting out in public. He seems way happier now.

50 Cent – Fiddy had us wanting to call him and check on him after tweeting that he was going to die soon. We hope it gets it together.

Angelina Jolie – Jolie had to deal with depression in her teenage years and felt it coming back in 2007. Now it’s all good.

Halle Berry – Halle tried to commit suicide after her relationship with David Justice fell apart. Thank goodness she didn’t go through with it.

DMX – He talked about manic depression from before he was famous, and his recent arrests show that something weird might be going on in his head these days.

Beyonce – Bey mentioned that she was depressed after Destiny’s Child broke up. Things came together for her pretty well after that.

Serena Williams – She had a serious health scare last year and couldn’t play tennis. While getting better, she was depressed that she couldn’t play.

Eminem – When his best friend Proof died, he delved deep into depression and drugs for a couple of years. But he’s back and better than ever.

Janet Jackson – Janet spent some depressed time in the 90s, which fueled some of her music back then. But Janet is happy now, despite her family drama.

Alicia Keys – She’s said that her depression is what made some of her writing better. It’s good she channeled it to something productive.
