Contrary to popular belief, women of all colors, shapes and sizes in Hollyweird wear weaves.

Some do it for the look, some do it to protect the hair that they do have, and some do it simply to not have their bald-head scallywag status put on blast in front of the whole world.

Either way, we rarely get to see what these ladies are actually working with underneath all of the glitz, glamour and 500 pounds of hair.

Let’s take a look at some of the baddest weavy wonders in the game and exactly what they’re hiding…

Tyra Banks dedicated an entire show to “natural hair” and had her stylist unveil her weave-less waves as the audience watched.

While Aaliyah had arguably the sickest weave in the game, she also had a full head of hair underneath it all.

Gabrielle Union has said that she doesn’t get perms, but rocks weaves to minimize the wear and tear on her natural hair. Looks like it’s paying off..
