A California daycare facility worker is accused of drugging toddlers’ sippy cups.
Investigators say 59-year-old Deborah Gratz spiked the sippy cups with the sleep medication Sominex.
The daycare says they fired the worker immediately, and that the sippy cups were confiscated before the children could drink from them.
“Ms. Gratz was terminatedimmediately for her actions and we are fully cooperating with authorities in this case. We take this matter very seriously,” the Kiddie Academy statement said.
Gratz is charged with felony child endangerment.
