The former Sexiest Man Alive is living with a woman – his mom!

“She’s a cool chick,” Bradley Cooper tells Details magazine. “We can hang. And she can roll with the punches. If that wasn’t the case, there’s no way.”

There’s a serious reason behind it all: The death of Cooper’s father two years ago.

“My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us,” the Silver Linings Playbook star, 38, tells the magazine. “It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other. So here we are.”

Still, having mom around is “not without complications.”

“It’s not like I live in a compound and she’s in the guesthouse,” he says. “No, she’s in the next room.”

But they’re all making the best of it. “We’re surviving. Both of us. Let’s face it: It’s probably not easy for her, by the way, to be living with her son,” he says. “It’s life.”

Awww, isn’t that precious?

Hopefully this won’t give the unemployed, Xbox-playin’, afternoon nappin’ men an excuse to be a bum.
