SMH: 23-Year-Old Single Mom Arrested After Leaving Her 4 Kids At Home To Fill Out A Job Application
Single Mom Arrested After Leaving Her Kids At Home To Find A Job
A Spartanburg woman has been charged after deputies said she left her children home alone when she went to fill out a job application on Monday.
Via WSBTV reports:
According to the incident report, officers were serving a subpoena at Summer Place Apartments on Alma Byrd Lane when a 3-year-old opened the door.
Officers said there was a total of four children in the apartment: two 3-year-olds, a 2-year-old and a 9-month-old. The children said their mother, 23-year-old Tangella Stevenson, left to go to the store, according to the report.
Investigators informed DSS of the incident at that time.
When Stevenson arrived home, she first said she left the children in the custody of their grandfather.
She later said she left the children home alone for about an hour to go put in a job application and stop by the store. Deputies said the children were placed in the custody of a foster parent.
Remember the homeless Arizona mom who got popped for leaving her kids in the car while on a job interview?
The ironic thing is that all the people who are condemning her for leaving the children at home, are the same people who would judge her for being on welfare and not trying hard enough to find a job. Do you think this woman should have been arrested?
