Faith Rodgers speaks out for the first time since R. Kelly was found guilty on all counts in his federal racketeering and sex trafficking case. At a press conference she discussed testifying, closure, and a response to Bill Cosby's claim that Kelly was "railroaded."
The 54-year-old artists' ex-wife Andrea Kelly, who is also known as "Drea," spoke out following her former husband's guilty verdict, stating that she felt "torn" about the news during an interview with Good Morning Britain.
One of R Kelly's accusers testified that he made her and other victims write letters making false claims that absolved Kelly of all wrongdoing. One letter stated that an accuser's parents made her "lure" Kelly into a sexual relationship in order to extort him. The accuser said nothing in that letter was true and she was forced to write it.
Imprisoned illiterate R. Kelly is reportedly recovering after being attacked in prison, and we're having a fiesta. TMZ reports that an inmate "inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago sat the Petulant Pied Piper sitting on his bed and started "punching the crap out of him." Why? Well because of Kelly's supporters (why do they exist?) who keep protesting outside the jail. "Our sources say the inmate went on the attack because he was angry about the detention facility being placed on lockdown a couple of times largely due to Kelly protesters outside the jail. We're told the fight didn't last long, and it's unclear if another inmate or guards broke it up. Our sources say Kelly was examined by a doctor, who determined the singer was okay ... no broken bones or serious injuries."
