STL Today reports that prosecutors are presenting a different possible motive. Citing prosecutors, Detective Donald Thurmond gave testimony Wednesday in a virtual bail hearing for Terica Ellis and revealed for the first time that Andre Montgomery was a suspect in the theft of $200,000 in cash from the home of his grandmother, Tim Norman's mother Robbie Montgomery. Terrica Ellis who previously had an intimate relationship with Norman, reportedly told investigators she knew the theft made Norman’s “boys” want to “get up on” Andre, reports STL Today.
St. Louis journalist April Simpson shared in a post that she reached out to Ms. Robbie for a statement. "Life seems unreal right now, especially for people dealing with pain and heartache. One of those people is our beloved Ms. Robbie Montgomery. I reached out to her letting her know she is loved and has an immense amount of support." Simpson said the restaurateur,80, told her "she's not ready to speak "and is "weak." She also solicited prayers for herself and her son.
Since the news broke of Tim's arrest, the family matriarch has received an outpouring of support from fans.
St. Louis' The Riverfront Times reports that Norman's been charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities (a cellphone) in the commission of a murder-for-hire, resulting in death. The reality star was charged by a federal complaint on Aug. 11 and was arrested Tuesday in Jackson, Mississippi. He is being held in the Madison County Detention Center. According to a criminal complaint, Norman conspired with an exotic dancer, Teria Ellis of Memphis Tennessee, to have his nephew killed so he could reap the benefits of a $450K in life insurance policy he took out on the teen. He was listed as the sole beneficiary. Authorities allege that Norman and the stripper used burner phones to unhash the sinister plot. Teria enticed the nephew via her Instagram account handle, @Alexusdagreat, and told him that she would be visiting St. Louis.
