Here’s some random news from the world of Denzel:

“Denzel Washington might be better with a gun than a champagne bottle. The ‘American Gangster’ star ordered some bubbly at Rivington 151 the other night. ‘And the server couldn’t open it, so Denzel tried,’ said our onlooker. ‘He couldn’t open it either, but when he handed it back, the cork popped right in the server’s face.’ The waiter was so starstruck he barely felt, let alone complained of, any injuries.”

Yeah – and we’re pretty sure that waiter probably saw dollar signs after getting busted in the grill. To be on the safe side, we recommend Denzel contact his esquire, ASAP.

Mariah Carey did the rounds in Japan this week. She was spotting shopping at Kamawanu in Daikanyama yesterday sporting an oddly disturbing expression. By the looks of things, she may need to refill that Prozac prescription, post-haste.

It would seem as though ole Bugsy likes to surround himself with punk ass thugs:

“Police arrested an employee of G-Unit head 50 Cent last night after receiving a call from a 22-year-old woman who said the man choked her and struck her with a belt during an argument. The incident occurred at Fif’s Connecticut mansion, according to the New Britain Herald.

Dwayne McKenzie, 27, was taken into custody and charged with assault. The Farmington newspaper is reporting McKenzie was already released recently for allegedly pistol-whipping a nightclub promoter in Hartford, Connecticut. McKenzie is due back in court July 15 after being released on a $10,000 bond”

What the hell is this world coming to? 5 year old Alex Barton got “voted” out of his class in a move led by none other than the classroom teacher:

‘[The teacher] took him and stood him in front of his classmates this week, asked every single child to tell Alex why [they] don’t like him… (in his words) “tell Alex why we hate him”,’ explained Ms. Barton. After having each child ridicule the boy, she says the teacher continue belittling him.

Ms. Barton went on to say, ‘Then they had a vote on if he deserved to stay in the class or not.’ Like a twisted reality show, Barton says in a 14-2 vote his classmates voted the five year old out of the classroom.”

It’s frankly obscene that a so-called teacher would even think of pulling some sh*t like that. Not that we condone violence or anything, but that’s a mf that deserves to catch a beat down – straight up.

Awwww shucks. Sh*t’s about to jump off in that courthouse today!:

“Courthouse observers are expecting fireworks today, as the trial’s most controversial witness is set to take the stand for the prosecution.

The woman, who lives in Georgia, is slated to testify about a three-way sexual encounter she had with both the R&B superstar and his alleged victim. She also is expected to identify the girl in the tape and tell the jury she was a minor at the time of the recording.”

On no, not again. Now T.I.’s got a reality show.

“[MTV] will follow the hip-hop star as he performs more than 1,000 of community service before beginning to serve his one-year prison sentence next spring. Ish Entertainment is behind the untitled series, which has scored an eight-episode order from MTV. Cameras already chronicled T.I.’s release from house arrest, and shooting will start in earnest this summer, leading up to his return to jail in early 2009. MTV plans to air the show some time soon after that.”

We don’t know about this one, but 1,000 hours of community service, a new baby and a general sense of paranoia could actually be intriguing. We’ll have to just wait and see…
