Ex-CSI Star Gary Dourdan Wants $110K Beat Down Payout Tossed

Cannizzaro eventually obtained a restraining order and Dourdan was charged with felony assault and battery. She filed the original suit demanding unspecified damages.

However, she explained in her new complaint that the previous case ended after the actor agreed to a confidential settlement. Per their deal, Dourdan was to pay a total of $110,000 to end the court battle with Cannizarro. He was to make two payments of $10,000 then 36 monthly payments of $2,500 to her and she would dismiss all claims against him.

She demanded the bankruptcy judge not dismiss the $110,000 Dourdan owed. The ex-girlfriend said the actor shouldn’t have the debt cleared due to it arising from his own intentional and malicious attack.

Then on February 5th, Dourdan fired back at his ex’s lawsuit saying he shouldn’t have to pay her a dime of the $110,000 from their settlement.

The actor admitted that he reached an agreement to settle the original assault and battery suit. However, he wants the entire amount owed to Cannizarro be wiped clean in his bankruptcy and her lawsuit be dismissed.

Dourdan claims that he did not deliberately or intentionally seek to injure his ex-girlfriend during the incident in question. He says due to his actions not being malicious the entire case needs to be thrown out.
