Michael Jordan Refutes Noreaga’s Claim That He Hates Hip-Hop, N.O.R.E Provides Receipts
Queens rapper Noreaga sparked a bit of controversy this week after his appearance on the RapRadar Podcast where he claimed that basketball GOAT Michael Jordan said “f**k rap” in the midst of several rappers a Def Jam Christmas party.
The folks at TMZ Sports reached out to MJ’s reps to see if the man who has benefitted so richly from hip-hop culture is truly a hip-hop hater a la Oprah Winfrey.
MJ’s rep, Estee Portnoy, says it’s just not true — telling TMZ Sports, “MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music.”
She adds, “Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his with the Charlotte Hornets.”
Michael Jordan is infamous for his refusal to take political stances publicly out of fear of ruffling the feathers of his adoring (money spending) constituents:
“Republicans buy sneakers too.”
While that is probably true, we can’t imagine that the GOP is spending more time camping out for $200 shoes than young black men who listen to rap music. MJ certainly doesn’t want to offend those who have been loyal to his increasingly expensive brand.
If that shadow of doubt wasn’t enough to make you question Jordan’s “I wasn’t even at that party” rebuttal, perhaps the RECEIPTS that N.O.R.E provided on Twitter last night will.
Flip the page to see the proof that Mike is a liar liar with his big a$$ pants on fire.
