Major congrats are in order for Tatyana Ali! The 37-year-old actress just revealed that not only is she engaged to her boyfriend, Dr. Vaughn Rasberry, but the couple are getting ready to welcome their first child together.
As Tatyana shared the big news with Entertainment Tonight, and says she couldn’t be more excited about the two huge changes taking place in her life this year:
“Planning our wedding has been so exciting, but when we found out we were expecting, our perspective shifted completely. We want our ceremony to really celebrate our newest blessing!”
As for how the happy couple met…Tatyana reveals that online daters need to keep hope alive:
“Vaughn and I met on eHarmony! It was my first time dating online. We wrote letters for months before we decided to Skype. And then, of course, met.”
And she says her proposal to the good doctor was nothing short of perfection:
“He took me on a 45-minute hike in the Redwoods [in Yosemite, California], which he knows I absolutely love, and proposed in the most picturesque clearing. Just the two of us. It was so thoughtful and perfect. We’re best friends.”
