Oakland Rave Fire Claims 9 Lives With 25 More Unaccounted For
Raves are often associated with horror stories of heavy, heavy, heavy drug use that costs people their lives. Unfortunately, at a rave that jumped off in Oakland last night, lives were lost in a much more horrific way.
According to KTVU, 9 people have been reported dead and another 25 are unaccounted for after a 3-alarm fire broke out at a warehouse party where fire officials say there were no sprinklers.
Reports say that anywhere from 50-100 people were in attendance at the party. When the fire started, the roof of the building collapsed down onto the second floor, crushing partygoers.
Because of the condition of the building, firefighters are not able to go inside and search for potential survivors.
R.I.P. to those who lost their lives, prayers up for any survivors trapped in the rubble who are probably scared to death and injured.
