Bossip on WE tv Episode 4 Recap

Today we wrapped our third (and funniest) episode and I’m thrilled to be apart of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (with coworkers I actually like).

It was stressful at first because I rocked an extravagant blouse I considered returning several times. No, seriously, it just seemed too “Ric Flair riding a majestic white unicorn off into the sunset” for me (and it’s splashed with beautiful pink flowers) BUT everyone loved the look so it worked out.

At first, I had no idea what to expect. I’ve never done a weekly TV series and was just happy to be allowed in the building. Growing up, I always wanted to be on Supermarket Sweep but God was like “naaah, you won’t know how to act if I let you throw 17 honeybaked hams in a buggy on TV but I got you in 20 years” and now I’m FINALLY on TV.

Everyone on set is so friendly, talented and professional. I almost don’t deserve this. There’s an entire production staff dedicated to making us look good on TV and I’m grateful for every member of the team.

There’s our amazing showrunner Sheonna who’s basically Sister Mary Clarence in “Sister Act” (but with eyebrows). She’s sweet yet direct with a humbling glare that gets your mind right. She’s the Serena Williams of showrunning. Your favorite cousin. The homegirl everyone wants but rarely has. And, honestly, the only person who could do this job.

Jay is just cool. So cool. She’ll drive her homegirl to her cheating boyfriend’s house and help her damage his property, no problem. She’s the coolest.

Azure exudes infectious energy which explains why her marriage is so dope. Her husband is a featured extra on the show and I want to be like them when I grow up (and stop dating women who acknowledge the “L” in salmon). That iconic flea market painting of the man literally handing the woman the world? That’s them.

I’m cheating on my favorite auntie with Tracye who’s my new favorite auntie. She’s the lovable coworker who looks wealthy, but isn’t, and just has impeccable taste in clothing and sales. If I didn’t know her, I’d think she lived in a magnificent castle in Atlanta.

Rob is laid back and frantic, at the same time, and completely open to creative ideas. Everyone needs a Rob in their circle.

The rest of the team is full of seasoned production pros lead by Thad. He’s basically the coolest TV dad ever–a cooler John Goodman on Roseanne.

Now, on to the cast: comedians Tyler and Ronnie are absolutely hilarious and inspire me to step my funny up. My supervisor in real life Janee brings a wonderful blend of leadership and savagery to the show. Jah is one of the coolest (and wittiest) people I know. My work wife Dani is funny, gorgeous and I honestly can’t wait to be a stay-at-home dad while she supports me. Maura is the ultimate millennial who knows everything about everything at 23 but you can’t deny her beauty and hustle.

And with all that said, I enjoy everything about filming Bossip On We and everyone involved. We had big booty auntie baddie Karlie Redd from Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta on the show today and she’s almost too wild (and spicy) for even me but I love her views on toe sucking and hate that I didn’t volunteer for a live demonstration. Honestly, I think this is our best show yet and can’t wait to be 57 with 11 kids STILL doing this show decades from now.
