SZA Fans Think Solange Sabotaged Her Video For ‘The Weekend”
The Weekend is one of the biggest songs of 2017, with SZA even being Grammy nominated for the Best R&B performance for the tune. It’s a fresh, messy, accidental side chick riff–yet none of that is presented in the visual for the song. SZA allowed Solange, (who directs like a performing arts school freshman) to take over curation of The Weekend’s video and folks are not impressed.
The whole video is SZA swinging her clip in weave on a balcony and dancing in a parking garage dressed scantily. Where are the sidechchicks, sis? Some think that SZA was going artsy-fartsy with the song because because it caught so much main-chick slander and others think Solange was really trying to end her lil fame by directing a boring-azz video.
Folks are furious with this glass half empty depiction of The Weekend and they dragged the hell out of it. Hit the flip to see.
