Actress Lainie Kazan Tried Shoplifting Nearly $200 In Groceries

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” actress Lainie Kazan went to a Gelson’s in the San Fernando Valley at 4PM Sunday and loaded her cart with $180 worth of groceries. The site reports she put the food into several reusable bags and walked out to her car. She was stopped by someone who worked for the store. Police were called and Kazan was arrested for petty theft, hancuffed and taken to a police station where she was cited and released without bail. TMZ sources say Kazan walked out without paying because she said she had no money on her.
We almost feel bad for her, BUT it’s pretty hard to believe she’s not still getting residuals from the Big Fat Greek movies.
