The Woodstock 50 Lineup Has Officially Been Announced

The famed music festival Woodstock is officially back in action for the 50th anniversary of their 1969 debut–and they’ve got the lineup to prove it.

On Tuesday night, the event’s organizers revealed the official lineup for the highly-anticipated return of the music festival, confirming performances by folks like Jay-Z, Change the Rapper, Vince Staples, Run the Jewels, Janelle Monáe, Common, and many more.

“The lineup will be a mix of some of the old bands who are still performing and a lot of new headline talent. Probably more than any other festival’s ever had,” Michael Lang, co-founder of the original 1969 festival, told the people over at Billboard earlier this year. “It’ll cross genres from rock to pop, folk and hip hop. It’s kind of representative of this idea of engagement and trying to steer toward acts that are heavily involved in social issues. So there’s some real gravitas in the performance and we want it to live on beyond the event.”

Not only does the lineup feature some of today’s biggest names, but it also includes artists who appeared at the the original 1969 Woodstock, including Santana, David Crosby, John Fogerty, and Canned Heat.

Woodstock 50 tickets will go on sale April 22, so if you’re interested in being there for an unforgettable weekend, you can grab yourself some tickets on the festival’s website.
