Issa Rae Responds To Engagement Rumors

Issa Rae is responding to recent comments about her love life. In case you’re unaware, rumors are swirling that the “Insecure” creator is engaged to her not so secret boo, Louis Diame who she’s been dating since at least 2012.

Issa rocked a ring (on THAT finger) on the cover of ESSENCE, so fans are surmising that they’ve made things all the way official.

Over the weekend rumors about her engagement reached a fever pitch on the NAACP Image Awards red carpet where both Yvonne Orji and Jay Ellis confirmed that Issa’s indeed off the market.

According to the “Insecure” stars who spoke to Entertainment Tonight they were elated to hear the news and the cast found out separately.

“We’re very excited for her,” Orji told Entertainment Tonight ,with Ellis adding, “We all found out in different ways because we’re all on different text chains. We talk at different times, so we all found out at different times in different ways.”

Orji said she couldn’t be more excited for her on-screen best friend.

“The reaction was all the same, like, ‘You out here in these streets getting married, boo!?’ That was the reaction,” she said.

Now mind you, Issa has yet to confirm her big news and hearing her business spread across the ‘net apparently pissed her off.

“I didn’t announce s***,” wrote Issa on her Insta-Story with an eye-rolling GIF.

Earlier that day she was spotted rocking her ring while walking onset to “Good Morning America.”

OOOP! Maybe Issa’s not ready to speak on her man, yet.

She previously told VOGUE that she doesn’t want fan input on her personal life,” who she’s “f***”” in particular.

“I don’t want any input,” she said. “As a writer, you put everything on the table. I’ll take input on kids if I’m going to have kids. How do I not kill the kids? Work? Give me the input. Any other aspect of my life? Give me the input. But who I’m f*cking? No, I don’t need input. I’m good.”
