Lori Loughlin And Husband Face 2 Years In Prison For College Bribes
Aunt Becky is about to star in the new season of Orange Is The New Black.
According to TMZ, Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are facing a minimum prison sentence of two years for the $500,000 in bribes they paid to various college officials. That two years is part of a plea deal that was extended to the parents who have been deemed the most egregious offenders in this case.
It is reported that prosecutors will only accept pleas with jail time attached. No probation. No fine. No community service. Only jumpsuits and commissary.
That said, all of the parents charged are not seen the same in the eyes of the law. In the case of Felicity Huffman, she’s only facing 4 months in jail for her offenses.
Lori and her husband are another case entirely. Because of the amount of money they spent, two years in prison is the only offer that prosecutors will accept.
The feds have drawn the line, either Lori and hubby accept the deal, quickly, or go be sent to the Federal Grand Jury for money laundering charges and other crimes that would land them in jail for significantly longer.
