Director John Singleton In A Coma

Less than a week after suffering a severe stroke, director John Singleton is reportedly in a coma. According to TMZ, the Singleton family is currently in the process of establishing a conservatorship for him. Legal documents show that John’s mom, Shelia Ward, is asking a judge to appoint her temporary conservator because he is “unable to properly provide for his personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter.”

She also wants to handle and execute the lucrative settlement agreement and the various business projects John was working on at the time of his stroke. As we reported, the legendary director checked himself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. last week after returning from Costa Rica and experiencing problems in his legs. At the time, family members categorized his stroke as mild, but turns out it was much more severe than they thought.
