4-Year-Old Dies In Hot Car
The family of a 4-year-old is reeling after he died in a hot car. Authorities told ABC News that 26-year-old Minnesota father Kristopher Alexander Taylor left his son in a car unsupervised for SIX hours while he worked a St. Paul festival.
Taylor told authorities that he and his son attended a local festival around 11:30 a.m., and by 2:45 p.m., the child said he was tired and wanted to sit in the car. Taylor then allegedly cracked the window of the 2017 Dodge Journey and left his son with a game to entertain himself, according to a probable cause statement.
Taylor then reported to the Minnesota Monthly 8th Annual Grillfest and worked until 5:15 p.m. When he returned to the car he noticed that the boy was “stiff” and took him to a hospital for help.
Efforts to revive the boy were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead, reports ABC.
Taylor allegedly admitted to police that he “left his son in the Journey for the entirety of his work shift” because he “couldn’t find anyone to watch his son.”
He’s been charged with second-degree manslaughter and is currently being held at the Ramsey County jail.
So, so tragic.
