11 Artists You Should Know In 2011

- By Bossip Staff

Last week we brought you a list of the most anticipate albums of the year. This week, we thought we’d introduce you to some of the artists we’re keeping an eye on this year.

While this is far from a comprehensive list of all the hot new (and not-so-new) artists making waves this year, it does include some of our favorites. The list was based not only on these artists’ current industry buzz, but also the likelihood that they will capture the attention of audiences outside the entertainment business this year.

Flip through and check them out.

    J. Cole is on point. His music has a way with folks. Jessie J I heart her songs. I expect big things from her. That Elle Varner though. Words can not describe her musical talent. She is so awesome. Alicia sure knows how to pick them. Listen to that So Fly and Valentine every other day on-line. Album should be an anticipation for everyone.

No Big Krit? He nicer than 99% of the hip hop acts y’all have listed on here!

    • already

Took the words right out of my mouth Big Krit, Curren$y, Nipsey Hussle, Jay Electronica, Elzhi, Smoke Dza, or Tabi Boney…hip hop is coming back its just a matter of time…bye bye to all the wacc rap…wiz khalifa is bringing the new era of hip hop in…and he has been rapping underground since 2005..way before the black and yellow…Wiz may not be as lyrical but he makes good songs kind of like Snoop back in the day…

Wynter Gordon is where it’s at! “Believer” is the best dance track I’ve heard in years. And I don’t even like dance music.

  • ManchesterUKer
