Drake On Course To Sell Over 700,000 Copies Of "Take Care" In Its First Week
Making It Rain With His Sweaters And Feelings: Drizzy’s “Take Care” Set To Move 725,000 Units In Its First Week
See that: now, Drake is crying all the way to the bank.
It should surprise nobody, but Drake’s second full-length studio album, “Take Care,” is on its way to a monster debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart next week.
Industry sources suggest the set could sell as many as 725,000 copies by week’s end on Sunday, Nov. 20.
“Care” may rack up the third-largest sales week of 2011, after Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” debut (1.1 million) and Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter IV” start (964,000).
Drake’s first album, last year’s “Thank Me Later,” started at No. 1 with 447,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan, on the Billboard 200 chart dated July 3, 2010. He previously charted with the “So Far Gone” (EP) in October 2009, which topped out at No. 6.
So, Wayne AND Drake have two of the top three selling albums of the year. And Baby probably still wants you to believe he had no hand in that…
Did you pick up that “Take Care”?
