Isn’t golf supposed to be a civilized game???

Clay Carpenter, 48, was golfing at the Resort on Eagle Mountain Lake when a field marshal instructed his party to play through a slower group of golfers.

That’s when a man from the slower group charged at Carpenter with a putter in his hand.

‘Next thing I know my buddy’s saying, “Clay you’ve been stabbed,”’ Carpenter told myfoxdfw.com.

‘Obviously my shoes were filling up with blood and at that point I passed out.’

Carpenter, of Springfield, Texas, had been stabbed in the groin and was bleeding from his his femoral artery.

The next few moments on the 13th green are captured in a frantic 911 call made by Mike Rolf, who was golfing with the slower group.

‘This guy is bleeding profusely, passed out,’ said Rolf during his 911 call obtained by the Star-Telegram. ‘You need to get somebody out here now.’

The Police are still trying to figure out the particulars of the incident

No one has been arrested or charged in the incident, and investigators say they are still trying to determine if Carpenter was stabbed intentionally or accidentally injured.

Meanwhile, Carpenter, who has run four marathons, faces the possibility of losing his leg to amputation.

‘I’ll never be able to lift my feet up again,’ said Carpenter. ‘I’ve run full marathons, and I’ll never be a runner again. I’ve lost the ability to properly use my leg. I’ll have to use a brace on this right leg forever.’

For lack of a better phrase, that’s F*@$#d UP!!
