BET's The Encore
On the latest episode of Carlos King's "BET Presents The Encore", Kiely Williams explained what led up to the moment she threw chicken at Naturi Naughton. According to Kiely she technically didn't "throw the chicken" but it was indeed in her hand. Kiely said that Naturi called her mother out of her name and she retaliated with the poultry AND her limbs. "I didn't throw chicken at anybody," Kiely said on the show. "The chicken was in my hand but if you call my mother a b***, I'm throwing whatever."
It looks like a certain singer wants an "Encore" of a chicken tossing tantrum between her and a former bandmate. Kiely Williams of BET's "The Encore" sent shade Naturi Naughton's way this weekend after the actress sent words of solidarity to Phylicia Rashad. According to Naturi while some people were dragging the Claire Huxtable playing star for celebrating Bill Cosby's vacated sentence, we should all be open to "other people's opinions."
A new episode of "BET Presents: The Encore" airs tonight at 10 p.m. and BOSSIP's got an exclusive first look. Carlos King's BET show "BET Presents "The Encore" caught the attention of viewers who wanted to tune in for the falsetto and fracas girl group adventure. As previously reported the 10-episode series features R&B songstresses Shamari DeVoe (Blaque), Aubrey O'Day (Danity Kane) Irish Grinstead & LeMisha Grinstead (702), Nivea, Fallon King (Cherish), Felisha King (Cherish), Pamela Long (Total), and Kiely Williams (3LW/The Cheetah Girls) living together for 30 days to record an album, learn choreography, and practice vocals. The premiere of the show was explosive and featured talented twin tyrants Fallon and Felisha cracking "Auntie" jokes, bragging about their BIG [millionaire] bags, and clashing with 702's LaMisha and Irish. It also featured Nivea becoming a fan fave with her neutrality, quirkiness, and apparent affinity for rice cakes. Oh, and did we mention that Cita's back and acting as host?
The official trailer for BET's super girl group reality show "The Encore" has been released and it features nostalgic R&B faves from platinum-selling ensembles like 702, Total, Danity Kane, 3LW, Blaque, and Cherish! As previously reported the show is produced by Carlos King, who worked as a producer on seasons 1 - 9 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and the 10-episode series will see the singers live together for 30 days to record an album at a home studio, learn choreography, and practice vocals. The songstresses must achieve this in only 30 days, with none of them knowing who their bandmates will be ahead of time. Faced with fun twists and unforeseen constraints, the ladies will need to stretch beyond their musical and personal comfort zones to succeed as a team.
