Now hoping for a "reset", Paige and Chris were visited by MAFS expert Dr. Viviana who checked in and questioned why the Chris she was seeing now was a different Chris from the one she originally matched with Paige. "I feel like I hardly know you because the person that you were when we met—that we got to know when we matched—and the person literally once you got married and since, are so different," said Dr. Viviana. According to Chris however nothing's changed, he's been this unfit for marriage person all along. He admitted however that he fell into a "depressive state" amid all the drama (he personally created) in his marriage. "Pre-wedding Chris is Chris since '92, since I was born. After the wedding, filming, married, finding out [Mercedes was] pregnant, it put me in a depressive state, to be perfectly honest with you," said Chris. "I kind of lost it. I was like, 'I don't know what to do, how to do it, how to make a right decision, what's right, what's wrong.' I just kind of lost it." During that conversation "Chris since '92" also said that he doesn't want to feel obligated to call Paige every day but still wants to "date her." For their dates, he suggests that they have bible study and play basketball.

The midseason trailer for Married At First Sight is here and a toxic and "traumatic" marriage you thought was over, is seemingly still on. Chris Williams says "he loves" Paige Banks.

Married At First Sight fans been reaching out to relationship expert Pastor Cal and they're convinced that Chris was cruelly added to the cast strictly "for ratings." The Pastor says that's untrue.
