Iyanla changed it up a bit this season of Fix My Life and has introduced a house of healing. The house was filled with women of color who tackled some issues head on…like the myth of black women being angry. As we went through these videos this morning, we noticed how messed up these people are. Lira Galore, on the video on one of the next pages, says her father left her mother and raised a “white family.” F**k! That would make anyone resentful.
After the three other male visitors in the House of Healing have the opportunity to speak their truth about their issues with “angry” black women, it’s Michael’s turn. The 46-year-old musician begins his session by addressing why women find him “weird,” but then he singles out 22-year-old Lira and other women her age in an unrelated rant, which sets her off.
Turn the pages for a gang more…
As the women in the House of Healing work through the issues at the heart of their inappropriate behavior, Koro, one of the male guests that Iyanla has invited to the house, makes the point that black women aren’t the only ones labeled as angry
