Janet Jackson Won’t Make A Surprise Appearance At The Super Bowl

The second it was announced that Justin Timberlake would be the performer at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, people were confused. Following the infamous performance by JT and his performing counterpart Janet Jackson at the 2004 Super Bowl, it was thought that both parties were banned from ever performing again. People were rightfully unhappy that Justin was making his return while leaving Janet high and dry, but rumors were in the air that Jackson would be pop up as a surprise during the huge event. Now, Janet herself has misspelled these rumors.

Janet commented on the possibility of her returning to the Super Bowl stage this weekend to TMZ saying, “To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow: I will not.” She also said, “Thank you for your support and I do look forward to seeing you all very soon.” JT also said in a press conference earlier this week that Janet wouldn’t be taking the stage with him, but this is even more confirmation that it definitely isn’t happening.

There were also rumors that the former NSYNC member would be performing with his old squad at the Super Bowl, but those rumors were also shut down.
