RGIII’s Ex Rebecca Liddicoat Wants Modification Of Child Custody Arrangement With NFL Star

Robert Griffin III and his ex-wife Rebecca Liddicoat may be divorced, but they are still warring over access to their toddler daughter.

The Baltimore Ravens player and his former spouse are set to go in front of a Family Court judge next month to determine if Liddicoat can limit Griffin’s custody of the girl, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP.

Last year, we exclusively revealed that Liddicoat filed court papers asking to modify the current terms of their current custody agreement: during the NFL season, Liddicoat wants Griffin to only be able to visit their daughter Reese Ann, 3, in the Texas County where they now live.

Specifically, Liddicoat wanted Griffin’s custody to either be “restricted” to her Texas county during the season or be changed to weekday access only, but also in her county. That would create a major challenge for Griffin – who has since married Grete Sadieko and has a baby daughter with her – to have regular access to the girl because of his rigorous training and game schedule with the Baltimore Ravens.

Griffin fired back, claiming that Liddicoat had no legal right to file the motion in the first place, because under the terms of their divorce, Liddicoat has to give him written notice of any proposed changes to their custody agreement, which he said she never did.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback also denied all of Liddicoat’s allegations, including that their current custody agreement had become “unworkable” and that the new plan was in the best interest of the child.

Griffin said in court papers that their divorce settlement stipulates that even with written notice, Liddicoat’s request belongs in front of a mediator or arbitrator, not a judge.

The family court judge has now ordered both sides to appear and bring evidence that shows they are financially able to care for the girl, along with tax returns and health insurance information, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP.

It’s not the first time that Liddicoat and Griffin have faced off in front of a judge. We exclusively revealed that the pair divorced last year after Liddicoat accused Griffin of cutting off her credit cards even though he knew she was unemployed and needed almost $36,000 a month to run their Texas household.

Griffin and Liddicoat were married for three years before the oft-injured player filed for divorce in Sept. 2016, citing that his three-year marriage was irretrievably broken, and there was no chance for reconciliation.

We reached out to lawyers for both Liddicoat and Griffin for comment.
