The Most Extravagant Gifts Celebrities Have Bought Their Kids

Cardi B and Offset are all over the news for a major, unforgivable, dramatic scandal of *drumroll* buying a gift for their daughter for her second birthday. The gift was a Birkin bag. The results have been what we come to expect for everything Cardi B does: internet speculation and outrage.

“When celebrities buy their kids jewelry and designer s**t, people be like, ‘Kids don’t care about that. They only care about toys and candy. Yeah, they only care about toys and candy but the thing is the kids also go outside. You know what I’m saying? Kids go to restaurants, kids go to fancy places, celebrity kids, they go do red carpets.

“And if I’m fly and Daddy’s fly, then so is the kid. If I’m wearing Cha-nay-nay, my kid’s having the same same, you know what I’m saying?” she quips. “It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was the kids, they’d be outside in diapers. Because if I was looking like a bad b**ch, expensive b**ch and I have my kid looking like a bum bum, then y’all would be talking s**t. So I’m not mad that Daddy bought baby a Birkin. She’s gonna match Mommy.”

Kylie Jenner – She also had Stormi rocking a Birkin bag when she was little but that didn’t get as much outrage as Cardi’s purchase.

Jay-Z and Beyonce – Rumors have them buying Blue Ivy a $600,000 golden rocking horse designed by Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka. We’ve never seen the horse so it’s unclear if it exists.

Tyrese – We don’t know how much it costs but he bought his daughter her own island in 2015. He even named it Love Island.

Kylie Jenner And Travis Scott – They bought Stormi a chair full of stuffed animals Travis made and it was apparently worth upwards of $25,000.

Kim and Kanye – They bought Chicago West a lucite crib that was $4,200. It’s the same one Jay and Bey bought for Blue Ivy. The good thing is they passed it on to the younger ones too.

Kim and Kanye – They bought an old Michael Jackson jacket for North West when she was a baby. It was a Christmas gift that cost $65,625 in a winning bid.

Elton John – He bought a $1.3 million apartment adjoining his house, equipping it with around-the-clock nannies and housekeepers. Damn, that’s quite the parenting move.

Cardi B and Offset – They bought Kulture a brand new Birkin Bag for her second birthday. The bags can cost upwards of $8,000 for a baby bag. As you can imagine, this led to a lot of criticism that Cardi had to respond to.
