All across the board, Bravo’s Real Housewives are known for their fashion, flashy lifestyles, and signature catchphrases that make their popular franchises must-see-TV. That’s not all, however, sometimes they’re known for their eye-popping behavior that varies from subtle shade-throwing to rowdy read sessions to all-out physical altercations.
For example; who can forget that scary, shocking, and scandalous situation when frustrated Real Housewife of New York Aviva Drescher prosthetically popped off on her castmates, literally. When the ladies questioned the severity of Aviva’s asthma, she exploded and slammed her prosthetic leg on the table to make a point.
“Call the doctor, ask him yourself—give me a break!” said Aviva. “The only thing artificial about me is THIS!” she later added while tossing the leg.
Boo!
In the spirit of Halloween, we’re recapping the scariest (and shadiest) Bravo brawls and blow-ups that have taken place between The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Real Housewives of Orange County,The Real Housewives of Potomac, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey because yes, ALL housewives fight—not just the black ones. Nice try, “above the standard” Real Housewives of Potomac.

Monique VS. Candiace
Of course, the so-called Cabernet Combat/Shiraz skirmish/overall brutal ex-best friend fight between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels is on this list. In case you’ve been living under a rock, These two Real Housewives of Potomac went from calling each other “sisters” to getting into a wig grabbing, wine tossing fight on the show’s current season. It started with a question from Candiace (“You gone drag me?”) and ended with Monique grabbing Candiace by the hair and dragging her across a table as fellow housewives looked on in horror. All the while Candiace, who couldn’t see her surroundings while in Monique’s grasp, was trying to defend herself with a broken wine glass.
After they were broken up, Monique tried to find Candiace for a rematch and said she was going to “kill her.” Luckily, no one was seriously injured but the two went on to battle with legalities.
The ex-friends filed charges against each other and in both cases, they faced potential jail time if a second-degree assault conviction had been made—but both cases were dismissed.
On The Real Housewives of Orange County, there was also a death threat during a heated showdown. Kelly Dodd got into an argument with Vicki Gunvalson’s then-boyfriend Steve Lodge while Emily Simpson’s husband Shane was nearby. Shane seemingly stood up for Steve after he walked away from Kelly’s pot-stirring and that clearly pissed Kelly ALL the way off.
Shen then started going off on Shane and called him a “f***g loser”, “p***y”, a “dork” and a “twerp.” She then told fellow housewife Emily that some guy was “being a little b*** —unbeknownst to her, that guy happened to be Emily’s husband. A shook up Kelly said she had no idea that Shane was Emily’s husband but still called him a “little b***” again, this time with Emily nearby. Emily then flew off the handle.
“Kelly, that’s my husband. Hey, that’s my husband. You don’t f—— talk to my husband like that!” Emily yelled. “You don’t talk to my husband like that. Get her the f— away from me, I will f—ing kill you!” she said. while being held back.
Lisa Vs. Kim
On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a glass was scarily smashed near someone’s face during a big blowup. Lisa Rinna was BIG mad when Kim Richards brought up her husband during a dinner party on the cast trip to Amsterdam. Amid a discussion about Kim’s drinking, things went LEFT when Kim alluded to Lisa Rinna’s husband having skeletons in his closet causing Lisa to lose it.
“I’m concerned about YOU! I’m concerned about you and your situation at home,” said Kim. “You wanna bring out my stuff?—-Let’s talk about your home life. Let’s talk about the husband—you better watch what you talk about me, or everyone will know!”
Lisa Rinna retaliated, by trying to grab Kim by the throat before tossing the wine at Kim and then smashing the glass on the table.
“Never go after my husband!” Lisa shouted while Kim’s sister Kyle Richards bizarrely ran out of the restaurant in fear.
“I’m sorry but she can’t lie about me, I’ll tell something that IS true!” said Kim.
Joe Gorga Vs. Joe Guidice/Teresa Guidice Vs. The Table/Joe Gorga Vs. Joe Guidice parts 1 and 2
If you watch The Real Housewives franchises then SURELY you remember THREE epic Real Housewives of New Jersey blowups.
The first took place on season 1 when Teresa Guidice raged against Danielle Staub in an epic table toppling incident. When the #RHONJ housewives confronted Danielle about a book exposing her seemingly shady past, things got heated. Teresa accused her costar of being a “prostitution whore” and thought it was bizarre that she was “f—king engaged nineteen times!” That apparently bothered her so much that she flipped the dinner table over.
The second big blowup took place at Joey Gorga’s christening—yes, a fight at a christening. During the season 3 premiere, Teresa Guidice was criticized by her brother Joe Gorga and her sister-in-law Melissa for being late to their son’s special ceremony. Not only that but they were BIG mad that Teresa’s husband, Joe Guidice who didn’t bother to come at all. Later at the post-christening reception, ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE with the two Joes nearly coming to blows. Teresa’s own brother called her “garbage” and her husband was pissed. “I’ll f****g kill every one of yous!” yelled Joe Guidice.
The THIRD big RHONJ blowup happened once again between brother-in-laws Joe Gorga and Joe Guidice. After Teresa told her husband Joe Guidice that her brother Joe Gorga called her “scum”, her hubby sprang into action to defed her honor. The men wrestled with each other and Joe Guidice claimed that Teresa’s brother was playing dirty and grabbed him by the balls. Classy.
Porsha Williams VS. Kenya Moore
Of course, this is on the list. That season 6 reunion blowup between Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore shocked fans and ended with a mugshot. Who can forget when Kenya Moore brought props to the reunion including a scepter and a bullhorn and used them during a back and forth with Porsha? Things escalated when Porsha snatched the scepter out of Kenya’s hand and issued a warning.
“Don’t point that at me. I’m not playing with you,” said Porsha before Kenya picked up the horn to continue to agitate her.
Porsha finally exploded when Kenya accused her of cheating on her now ex-husband Kordell Stewart.
“Listen, you are not going to keep on talking about my character like you know what you’re talking about—I’m going to f*ck you up!” she shouted before grabbing Kenya by the hair and pulling her down. Porsha was booted from the reunion for her behavior and was later charged with misdemeanor simple battery.
The dustup also caused Bravo to ban props from housewife reunions.
