HBCU attendees and alumni alike are gearing up for affluent and festive Blackity-Black shenanigans in support of their alma maters. While there’s really no wrong way to celebrate Black excellence and HBCU pride, we’ve created a guide to help you get the most out of this Homecoming SZN.

Where Are The HBCU Homecoming Parties?
Now, it’s time to turn up!
Let’s kick the weekend off with Bowie State’s Homecoming Alumni Party Friday, September 30, at Brooklyn on U. What better way to get amped for Saturday’s game than with fellow Bulldogs?!
Get excited, Howard University!!!
PRE’s golden boy Key Glock will be performing live at The Howard Theatre on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 8 pm. Also for the Bison babes, you DO NOT want to miss Howard University’s Blaque Mecca Block Party on October 22nd! Following the game, proud Bison will celebrate DC’s rich culture with a block party-style event from 1 PM-8 PM, presented by The Move Makers.
For all the go-go fans, Hampton University’s “official” old-school homecoming party will take place on October 22nd at Legacy Live.
For the younger alumni taking part in the 2022 #HomecomingByTheSea, there’s the annual all-black affair taking place at The Vanguard on Friday, October 21.

Woody McClain will host FAMU’s “I Love My HBCU” Party on Friday, October 28th as the official homecoming kickoff for the Rattlers!

While Florida A&M’s attendees are still awaiting this year’s concert lineup, beautiful black folks can gather for this event at Railroad Square Craft House when doors open at 4 pm.
Can you REALLY talk about HBCU homecomings without mentioning GHOE? No, no, you can’t.
The Aggies of North Carolina A&T will celebrate homecoming 2022 with a concert featuring Lil Baby, Chloe, Nardo Wick, and Gorilla – Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m.
Additionally, the Aggies’ homecoming party scene looks lit for Halloween weekend.
Let’s not forget the legends of CAU! Clark Atlanta’s Homecoming game takes place on Saturday, October 15, kicking off with a little tailgate party at 12 pm!
On Friday, the CAU Legends and alumni will be taking over The Bank with a comeback homecoming affair you don’t wanna miss!

Finally, Spelhouse (Spelman and Morehouse) is lighting up Atlanta with joint events for alumni, attendees, family, and friends. On Friday, October 21st there’s a Selphouse reunion rooftop day party at Atlanta’s Suite Lounge.

Norfolk State University grad Ashley Jones founded Tones of Melanin in hopes of making our ancestors proud by representing all historically black colleges and universities in major department stores. In a soundbite from a WAVY TV 10 news clip she explains:
“Our ancestors, these are the only institutions they could go to. Let’s respect that legacy. They are there for a reason!”
