What’s the hottest Hollyweird accessory, a black baby or a Birkin bag?

Black and mixed race children are often the most difficult to place with good families, so it may be a good thing that white Hollyweird has realized this issue and responded by becoming parents to some pretty precious lil ones.

Okay to be fair some of these kids hail from Haiti, Ethiopia, Malawi and other parts of the diaspora so African-American may not be the most accurate description, but hey you get the idea.

Hit the flip to have a look at some of the White Folks who’ve adopted Black kids.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman – Connor Antony (b. Jan.1995)

While we’re almost 100% sure that Connor’s white big sister Isabella is adopted, we have some doubts about him. Even though Tom and Nicole always claimed Connor was adopted, let’s face it — he looks just like Tom, just brown. Either way, clearly Tom isn’t opposed to transracial adoption of his own kid.

Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley- Claudia Rose (adopted in March 1993)

One of the trailblazers for white folks with black babies, Michelle Pfeiffer actually started the adoption process before meeting hubby David Kelly and the couple eventually wed the same day Claudia was christened. She’s such a beauty isn’t she?

Ty Burrell – Frances (adopted March 2010)

“Modern Family’s” Ty Burrell and his wife Holly announced they’d adopted a baby girl March 18, 2010 then made a similar announcement two years later after adopting another daughter. The second baby has been keeping a more low profile so we’re not sure if she’s black too or not, or even what her name is.

Kristin Davis- Gemma (adopted 2011)

Kristin Davis adopted her precious lil brown baby girl last year and manages to keep her mostly out of the spotlight. That’s too bad for us cuz we love her lil precious fat cheeks!

Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann- Amaya (adopted April 2011)

Amaya joined the Hargitay-Hermann family in April 2011 and has been spotted doing lots of fun stuff around Manhattan with her actress mommy and big brother August. The family also grew even bigger in October when Mariska and Peter adopted another little baby Andrew just six months after her arrival.

Jillian Michaels and Heidi Rhoades- Lukensia (adopted at age 2 in 2012)

In 2012 Jillian Michaels abandoned plans to adopt from Africa and instead became the legal mother to a 2-year-old who she’d met while volunteering in Haiti.

Joely Fisher and Christopher Duddy- Olivia Luna (adopted Sept. 2008)

We don’t know much about lil Olivia, except that she has two big brothers and two big sisters. Her mom Joely used to be an actress on the Ellen show and she seems to have a big heart because in addition to adopting her she also became an Artist Ambassador for Save the Children in 2008. She traveled to Xai-Xai, Mozambique, to visit with children that are part of the child sponsorship programs.

Mary Louise Parker – Caroline (adopted September 2007)

We’ve always loved “Weeds” star Mary Louise Parker and we’re happy to share that she adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia, Caroline ‘Ash’ Aberash Parker. Hopefully, her mom keeps her lotioned up so the kids don’t tease her too much about that ash business.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra Lee Furness – Oscar Maximillian (born Oscar Maximillian born May 2000)and Ava Eliot (born July 2005)

Technically Hugh Jackman’s kids are multi-racial but we decided to include him because he’s been outspoken about specifically seeking to adopt mixed race kids because he heard they were harder to place. Here’s what he had to say about his kids:

Oscar is a bit of everything – African-American, Caucasian, Hawaiian and Cherokee. We specifically requested a bi-racial child because there was more of a need. People will wait 18 months to adopt a little blonde girl; meanwhile, bi-racial children are turned away. The same was true for Ava, she’s half Mexican, half German.

Charlize Theron – Jackson (adopted Spring 2012)

Charlize brought her precious lil baby Jackson on the scene in May 2012 but has said little about where he’s from, but gushes at length about how happy he’s made her to be his mom. It ain’t hard to tell why, he is such a precious thang.

Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw – Theo (born 1988) and Mikaela (born Feb. 1996)

The family has seven kids, one each from each of their previous marriages, three biological children they had together and Theo who was adopted by Capshaw before the marriage, then later adopted by Spielberg and Mikaela who was also adopted the same year sister Destry was born.

Sandra Bullock – Louis Bardo (born January 2010)

Our lil Cajun cookie first made his mark in Hollyweird back in April 2010 when his mom Sandra Bullock announced she’d adopted him months earlier before discovering her then-hubby Jesse James was dirty doggin’ it up in his garage. Good thing she had lil Louis around to cheer her up.

    AKM-GSI Media

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt – Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt (born Jan. 2005 adopted July 2005)

Did you know Zahara’s name was originally Yemsrach? She was adopted by Brangelina back in 2005 from an orphanage in Ethiopia and she’s been our favorite of their brood ever since.

Connie Britton – Eyob aka Yoby (adopted Nov. 2011)

Connie Britton hasn’t really been on our radar like ever, despite being on shows including “Friday Night Lights” and “Spin City.” Now that she’s doing that “Nashville” show with Hayden Panettierre we may give her a shot, but mostly cuz we think her son Yoby, who is also from Ethiopia, is super cute.

    AKM-GSI Media

Madonna – David Banda (adopted May 2008) and Mercy (adopted June 2009)

Madonna’s two youngest kids David and Mercy are both from Malawi, a country with extremely strict adoption laws. The pop star had a very difficult time with the adoption of both kids (it took over 2 years for the adoption of David to go through) so you know she must really love them after having to fight so hard to get them.

So, any faves? Can you think of anyone we left off this list?
