Rapper Drake Apologizes To Vanessa Bryant For ‘Stay Schemin’ Diss Line
Earlier this week, Vanessa Bryant addressed the diss heard around the world in which Young Money marshmallow man Drake referenced Vanessa’s then-pending divorce drama with her baller-boo hubby Kobe Bryant on a verse in his ‘Stay Schemin’ track.
Although the record is old news now, neither Vanessa nor Kobe had ever spoken about it publicly, but Vanessa put an end to that when she put Drizzy on blast recently saying she holds down the homefront and “signs checks,” so she doesn’t need to be “shootin’ in the gym” with her dirty-dog husband to reep the benefits of a divorce following years of marriage.
The usually tight-lipped Mrs. also revealed that the couple had received an apology message from Drake’s manager shortly after the record hit airwaves. However, Kobe seemed to see the humor in the whole thing.
Watch him laugh it up as a fan quotes the infamous ‘Stay Schemin’ line right to his face:
SMH. Hit the flip to hear Drizzy’s apology straight from the source along with what he really thinks about Vanessa and Kobe…
“That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all. I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else. That line had everything to do with me and what goes on in my head as a 25 year old man with this much income flowing in. Kobe is and always will be a friend and an icon to me.”
SMH. Somebody sounds shook. Do you believe that Drizzy “never intended” for the line to be offensive?
