Meet BOSSIP’s 2020 Creative Class.

The Creative Class Honoree: J. Alphonse Nicholson

Alphonse Nicholson has been on the big and silver screen alongside some very well-known actors, Octavia Butler and Michael B. Jordan for example. With the addition of P-Valley to his roles, he will now be the well-known actor alongside the next generation’s school of actors

The Creative Class Honoree: Dr. Wendy Osefo, PhD

Doctor Wendy Osefo proudly wears all of her titles, political commentator, Doctor, reality cast member, and history maker, but when she says “wife” or “mother” you can hear the smile in her voice. While you usually see Dr. Wendy on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News eloquently and passionately explaining her political viewpoints and pushing social justice reforms, this year, we were given a more intimate look at Dr. Wendy’s life as the latest addition to Real Housewives of Potomac.

The Creative Class Honoree: Shannon Thornton

Shannon Thornton’s beauty may have first won you over on Power, or maybe it was seeing her as a hair model in your favorite hair magazine. Wherever it was, it only intensified after seeing her as the Pole Princess of The Pynk, Keyshawn in P-Valley. Shannon plays a character much unlike herself, and that’s why she wanted to play her.

The Creative Class Honoree: The 85 South Show

DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller, and Chico Bean are hilarious separately. Put them together as a trio and it’s belly aching laughs until the end. Most people first witnessed this chemistry while watching WildNOut, the hip-hop improv comedy show that Nick Cannon brought to MTV.
