Dru Hill hit the NYC stage and proved why they’re still some of the greatest to ever do it….

Dru Hill Addresses Gay Rumors And Performs In NYC

On Sunday night, veteran R&B group Dru Hill made their way to SOBs in New York City to shut the stage down with a powerhouse medley of their hits for the RnB Spotlight “Tribute to the 90s” showcase and BOSSIP was in the building to check out the show.

Renee Neufville of the popular 90s duo Zhane kicked things off with a surprise cameo after RnB Spotlight founder Cory Taylor and birthday boy DJ Big Jeff got the crowd energized with host of throwback favorites. Rising star Chris Jackson immediately followed with his version of Brandy’s “Best Friend” and was later joined on stage by celebrity co-host Mario Winans.

Later on into the evening, NYC natives Gotham Citi took to the stage and wowed the crowd with a short set that included their flawless rendition of Jodeci’s “Love You For Life”……

….while ATL girl group Havok Jones did their thing to an R&B 90s mash up that included an impressive cover of En Vogue’s “Don’t Let Go.”

After final new comers Myra Smith & Patricia MyTime serenaded the crowd, Dru Hill made their way to the stage and sent the fans into a frenzy with several of their chart-topping favorites including “In My Bed (Remix),” Beauty,” “5 Steps,” “We’re Not Making Love,” and their breakout single “Tell Me.”

We caught up with the fellas  for a quick Q&A after they demolished the stage and even came across some inside scoop on some of the most notorious rumors that have been surrounding them for years. Hit the flip to see what we found out and check out footage of Sisqo, Nokio, Jazz and Tao to see if they still got it.

Dru Hill frontman Sisqo has been plagued by gay rumors since the start of his career in the industry, but a highly credible source close to the group tells us that the talk couldn’t be farther from the truth.

“Everyone who knows Sisqo and has known him for a while knows that he’s not gay. He’s the farthest thing from gay.

When he was younger and new to the industry, it wasn’t something that he took to0 seriously because he assumed it would die down. But now that he’s older and has a daughter and a young son, it’s just ridiculous that it’s still something that people try to pass off as fact.

It’s absolutely not true.”

And there you have it. Along with this rumor, there has been recent speculation that Dru Hill brainchild Nokio is Illuminati-affiliated. His response?

“I’m NOT in the Illuminati, man! Y’all gotta quit saying that. My hair isn’t even gold….it’s….yellow (laughs).”

Finally, in case you were still wondering if Dru Hill can still go toe-to-toe with the best in R&B and come out on top…

…they haven’t missed a single beat.

You can find out more info about where to catch them on stage next and more how to keep up with the Dru Hill movement HERE.
