New Bravo Housewives Show Set In Maryland Features All Black Cast
BOSSIP Exclusive: Move Over “RHOA”! New Housewives Show Coming Soon With An All-Black Cast!!!
Model Katie Rost, Philanthropist Gizelle Bryant Among New Maryland “Housewives” Show Coming To Bravo
Sick of Nene, Kenya, Cynthia and Phaedra’s tired ol’ drama? You’re in luck… Our sources in the Columbia/Bethesda region of Maryland tell us there is a new “Real Housewives” franchise that has been taping quite a bit over the last two months — and these women are sure to keep your attention. How do we know? Well for one thing, this is another all black cast and for another — some of the women involved have already been flirting with the limelight for some time. This bunch should also satisfy the public’s appetite for consumption, because the pedigreed women who are being filmed come from money, are married to money and many spend the bulk of their time either raising more money for good causes or spending it on looking the part. From what we can tell — there aren’t any Nenes (who climbed off the pole into the lap of luxury) but rest assured though they may be bourgeois they’re definitely not boring.
Hit the flip for the scoop on a few of the cast members.
You may or may not recognize Katie Rost from her work as a model and tv personality. Or from the BOSSIP posts we did on her when she dated Russell Simmons back in the day. She’s now a married (to doctor James Orsini) mother of three who heads a philanthropic foundation named after her late father Ronald F. Rost. There are some rumors about her and a few other folks too, including a certain King of the South. We’re interested to see if any of THAT will play out on TV.
In the meantime check out a real of her work below:
We’ve also got plenty of photos when you continue.
Which brings us to Gizelle Bryant… We’re sure the Hampton alums reading will recognize her. She also has mixed it up some in music industry circles, as her best friend Erika Liles just happens to be married to Kevin Liles. There’s another Russell Simmons connection here too because Gizelle was a bridesmaid and Simmons was a groomsman in the Liles wedding. Gizelle is billed as an entrepreneur — she co-founded a line of women’s shapewear. She’s also a mom to three (all girls) and is divorced from popular Baltimore pastor Jamal Bryant.
Our wildcard might be Robyn Dixon, a publicist who is married to former Atlanta Hawks/Washington Wizards baller Juan Dixon. She keeps a very low profile and isn’t poppington on social media at all. But she has been a staunch supporter of her husband (they actually divorced but are reconciled now and raising the kids together) who dealt with a steroid suspension while playing in Spain (she maintained it was caused by his use of an over the counter product). While Dixon no longer plays in the NBA, our sources say they’re still very well off as he is part of the coaching staff at the University of Maryland. We are curious if her storyline will include his financial issues — public records show he filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in August 2014. According to his paperwork, Juan Dixon owes $32K in back taxes and says he only has $25 in cash on hand. We just hope his problems don’t result in them losing the $900K crib they’ve got to foreclosure.
