Schools may be closed indefinitely as distance learning becomes the new normal during these stressfully uncertain times but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate our essential educators during the first socially distanced Teacher Appreciation Week in history.
Blessed with a level of patience and understanding that only they possess, these selfless gems deserve all of the flowers, apples and support while shining as the boldest (and brightest) molders of our youth who overcome pathetic pay, toxic parents and a crumbling public school system to make a difference.

“When I see students I see unlimited possibilities. 📚 When I chose what school I would teach at, I saw a new legacy being written. ✏️ When I chose to teach I saw passion and purpose. ❤️ I’m returning to the same school on the West Side of Savannah, Ga that I started my educational journey on over 18 years ago. For many years it was Bartow Elementary now renamed Otis Brock Elementary. It’s an honor to serve in the same community that guided and modeled me into the multifaceted women I am today. I pray I give the same love, compassion, wisdom, knowledge, and so much more that my teachers gave me. Say hello to your favorite Kindergarten Teacher #10daystilgraduation #southernnotstate #blackgirlmagic #blackgirlsgraduate #bagsecured #benefitssecured #teachloveinspire” – this made our heart smile
