Today is every smoker’s favorite unofficial holiday: 4/20. Some people who smoke treat it like another day and might just get some higher quality stuff than usual, while others go all out and bring out their high-end bongs, secure a good pound, and spend the day getting faded. Regardless of how you celebrate, we are here to handle your content needs for the special day. With that being said, let’s take a look at celebrities who’ve bet big investing their money into the cannabis space hoping to change the way you smoke and most importantly, what you smoke. While we would love to include everyone on the list, we just choose a few that might surprise you and some that are pushing the boundaries of what people think of when it comes to selling marijuana. Take a look at who has been investing big in the marijuana space down below!

Drake – More Life Growing Company

When Canada legalized recreational marijuana use in 2018, it was almost a no-brainer that Drake would venture into the cannabis space and attempt to dominate the market in his backyard. With Drake being responsible for a big percentage of Toronto’s revenue, this was a golden opportunity for a brand to partner up. The lucky brand ended up being Canopy Growth, and together, they executed a perfect rollout, with Drake sending real flowers to influencers to announce the More Life Growth Company.

Jay-Z – MONOGRAM Company

Jay-Z has always been a smart businessman and has proven time and time again he can build it from scratch and sell products like it’s nothing. Recently, he sold a majority stake in Ace Of Spades, which reportedly netted him 9 figures. The sale couldn’t come at a better time, leaving Jay more time to focus on his latest venture.

Hov officially joined the cannabis space with his new brand, MONOGRAM. MONOGRAM isn’t just another company with a celebrity trying to sell you weed, it’s providing quality flowers for those who enjoy luxury. From custom hand-rolled joints to fighting to change marijuana laws around the US, MONOGRAM is quality smoke with quality meaning. Or better yet, as the company calls it, “a new chapter in cannabis.”

Jaleel White – Purple Urkle Cannabis

If you are pretty business savvy, you’ve noticed while some musicians excel in their marijuana brands and partnerships, most really sign up for the paycheck and continue smoking their favorite weed and barely promote their own. With that comes brands looking to partner up and going outside of the music space to find other partners. Perhaps the best partnership as of late is between Steve Urkle aka Jaleel White and 710 Labs. The duo teamed up to create variants of the popular cannabis strain Purple Urkle.

Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi- WüSah

The brand was launched in 2018 and Golnesa has stated it helped her find her purpose using marijuana as an outlet. Aside from just smokable products, she’s also created CBD and THC- infused drinks that are delicious.

Seth Rogen – Houseplant

Seth Rogen has always been an open and vocal supporter of recreational marijuana use. He is probably one of the most notorious smokers in Hollywood alongside the likes of Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa. Of course, it was only a matter of time before he joined the cannabis space with his own brand.

Seth launched his cannabis brand, Houseplant, and within seconds, the website crashed to the ground. Aside from actual marijuana, Seth also launched a number of game-changing accessories including a tabletop lighter, which solves the problem of someone stealing your lighter or simply just not having a lighter when it’s time to light up.
