Octomom Admits Having 8 Babies Was A Mistake

Nadya Suleman will do anything for her octuplets, but now she admits it was a mistake to have them. The mother of 14, who recently posed nude to earn rent money for her family, has revealed she thinks it was a bad decision to undergo fertility treatments after already having six babies.

“Was it a mistake to go back and have IVF after having six children already?” NBC News Dateline correspondent Tamron Hall asked in an interview that aired Friday night. “Yes,” Suleman said. “Absolutely. Was I in my lucid state of mind? I don’t know at that point. I could rationalize myself away and I’m good at rationalizing.”

Suleman, who famously vowed she’d never go on welfare after giving birth to the octuplets in 2009, admitted last week she is in fact receiving government assistance to the tune of $2,000 per month in food stamps. “I’m working as hard as I possibly can to support them,” she told “Today” show anchor Matt Lauer on Thursday, describing projects she has in the works to earn more money, including TV and film projects.

Suleman is reportedly facing foreclosure on her home, and last month stripped down for the cover of Britain’s “Closer” magazine to earn $8,000 to pay her rent. “I have to do what I have to do to take care of my family, and I’m not ashamed at all,” she told Anderson Cooper of the photo shoot.

Suleman isn’t the first one to say her fertility treatments were a mistake. In 2010, Dr. Michael Kamrava, who implanted the Octomom with 12 embryos, tearfully admitted his regrets about the procedure. “I’m sorry for what happened. When I look back at it, I wish I had never done it and it will never happen again,” he said.

WTF does she mean she rationalized herself into thinking that having 8 babies without a father or support was a good idea?!?!

Man, it’s a tough life out there for poor little Nadya. SMH.
