“I’ve learnt a lot during this lockdown period. Mostly, I’ve learnt I have taken the simple joys of life for granted. .
.
.
Even though I’m a home body, I miss getting up and ready for a day outside the house. Leaving the house is a luxury, one that I always took for granted. .
.
.
I miss spending quality time with my loved ones but I’ve learnt to see the beauty in loving from afar. I’m learning how to have presence without being present. .
.
.
I feel like this experience is teaching me a lot about myself and I’m excited to carry on growing, albeit in the comfort of my own home.
.
.
.
What are you learning on lockdown? What have you been taking for granted? .”

Life before the lockdown, socialising with good food and good company. .
.
.
Remember to check in on your friends during the lockdown, especially those who are at risk, living alone or living with anxiety or depression.
.
.
.
FaceTime calls, Skype/Zoom calls, frequent communication will are great tools for keeping up social interaction. Always video call if you can, face to face communication even over the phone is far better than a normal call or text.

“It’s so important for your mental and physical health to exercise daily. Exercise not only keeps your heart health, but head too by releasing endorphins that make you feel happy!”

“Spending time in nature can reduce cortisol levels (chemical linked to stress). The sight of plants and the sound of running water can be beneficial for your overall wellbeing. During this period, I recommend purchasing small water features or plants either online or in your next shopping trip.”
