Porsha added on the RHOA after show that her vulnerability is what helped Dennis see the true benefit of their counseling sessions, noting that she had been trying to hide her feelings…
“He had never really seen me be that vulnerable because as a mom he was not going to see that part of my exterior,” said Porsha. “He was not going to see that he broke me but he needed to see that he really, really hurt me. I think that’s when he really got it.”
and she admitted that she did indeed ignore “some signs.” In RHOA season 11 Kandi gossiped to Porsha about Dennis’ history with women but Porsha was NOT having it.
“When I look back I did have a pattern of ignoring some signs,” said Porsha as a clip played of Kandi Burruss telling her about Dennis tattooing other women’s names on him. “I did have a pattern of even saying out loud, ignorance is bliss. You don’t realize when you’re saying all that stuff like that it lands somewhere,” she added noting that he thought he could just apologize and move on. “This was the first time of me like putting my foot down and getting him to really understand that we are building a family.”
Oh, and if you think Porsha’s embarrassed about having her man’s cheating play out on TV, she’s got news for you; it’s actually been helpful. “I don’t care what anybody thinks,” said Porsha defiantly.
It’ll be interesting to see if Andy Cohen brings up the cheating during Sunday’s #RHOA virtual reunion—-will YOU be watching???
